SFP-configured Fiber Patch Cords can be single-core or dual-core, depending on the type of SFP optical module and the requirements of the network architecture.
Dual core fiber jumper cable:
Features: There are two optical fibers side by side, one for tranSMitting and one for receiving.
Application scenarios: It mainly corresponds to SFP optical modules such as 100M single-mode dual-fiber, Gigabit single-mode dual-fiber and 10G single-mode dual-fiber. The length can be determined according to actual needs.
Notes: If it is used on a multi-mode optical module, the link cannot be turned on.
Single core fiber patch cord:
Features: Only one optical fiber allows for bidirectional transmission of reception and transmission.
Application scenarios: The main paired optical modules are 100M single-mode single fiber, Gigabit single-mode single fiber, 10G single-mode single fiber, etc.
Advantages: Save half the cost of fiber optics compared to dual cores.
In summary, for SFP-configured Fiber Jumpers, if a single-mode single-fiber SFP optical module is used, a single-core fiber jumper should be selected; if a single-mode dual-fiber SFP optical module is used, a dual-core fiber jumper should be selected. When selecting, factors such as the type of fiber jumper (such as LC, SC, etc.) and length should also be considered to meet specific application scenarios and needs.
