How to wire the six types of copper cable modules

Update Time:2025-04-21Traffic:

The wiring steps for the six types of copper cable modules are as follows:

  Prepare tools and materials

  Six types of network modules

Category 6 network cable (unshielded or unshielded)

  Wire stripper

  Wiring knife (for non-hitting modules)

  scissors

  Network tester

  Second, the wiring steps

  Peel off the skin:

Put the six types of mesh wire into the stripping knife, rotate the stripping knife, and peel off the outer quilt of 2 to 3 cm.

If it is a shielded network cable, you also need to cut off the internal cross skeleton.

  Finishing the core:

After peeling off the outer skin, separate the wire cores.

According to the line sequence identification on the module (generally use T568B line sequence), insert the wire cores into the card slots of the corresponding line sequence. The color sequence of T568B line sequence is: orange-white, orange, green-white, blue-white, green, brown-white, brown.

  Fixed core:

For non-hit-free modules, use a wire knife to press hard so that the wire core copper wire is in full contact with the card knife.

Cover the back cover and secure the wire core.

  Test connection:

Use the network tester to test whether the module is connected.

Connect the other end of the network cable to another module, and then use the network jumper cable to connect the two modules.

Insert both ends of the network cable into the network tester, and the indicator lights of the tester flash in sequence from 1 to 8, indicating that the module connection is normal.

  III. Precautions

Select the appropriate network module: Choose the appropriate network module based on the type of network cable (unshielded or shielded).

Keep the line sequence consistent: During the wiring process, ensure that the line sequence is consistent with the identification on the module to avoid misconnections or missed connections.

Moderate force: When using a wire cutter, use moderate force to avoid damage to the wire core or module.

Test and Verification: After the wiring is completed, be sure to use a network tester for testing to ensure that the module is connected properly.

Through the above steps, you can successfully complete the wiring work of the six types of copper cable modules.
