GYFTY53 Fiber Optic Cable – High Strength, Water-Resistant, and Durable for Duct, Aerial, and Direct Buried cable

The GYFTY53 fiber optic cables, with fibers of 250μm, are housed in loose tubes made of high modulus plastic. The tubes are filled with a water-resistant compound for added protection. A Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) member is positioned centrally within the core, acting as a non-metallic strength member. The tubes, along with the fillers, are helically stranded around the strength member to form a compact, circular cable core. This core is then wrapped with a thin Polyethylene (PE) inner sheath, which is filled with jelly to protect against water ingress. To further prevent water penetration, a layer of water-blocking material is applied around the cable core. A corrugated steel tape armor is then added, and the cable is completed with a PE outer sheath.

Application: Suitable for duct, aerial, or direct buried installation.
